Vector Informatik is a global leader in automotive electronics development, providing a comprehensive platform of tools, software components, and services for embedded systems engineering. With over 4,500 employees across 33 locations worldwide, Vector supports manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive and related industries. Their solutions encompass sensor development, functional safety, on-board and off-board charging technologies, and over-the-air (OTA) solutions, facilitating efficient and reliable development processes.
Vector, the specialist for software and the development of automotive electronics, is expanding its commitment to AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture).
Vector introduces Release 7 of DYNA4. The new release fosters the adaption of DevOps workflows in modern vehicle control software development. With its capabilities to generate lightweight simulation packages for Linux environments, massive simulations of virtual test drives can be integrated easily into continuous testing (CT) pipelines.
Compact and easy: With the “CCS Listener” VH5110A, Vector simplifies the analysis of CCS charging communication. Charging station manufacturers and operators as well as automobile manufacturers benefit from this hardware.
With version 9 of the automotive diagnostic tester Indigo, Vector offers more convenience in Diagnostics over IP (DoIP) as well as more functionality in On-board Diagnostics (OBD). With the new product variant "Indigo OBD", users now have a cost-effective solution with a focus on OBD diagnostics without any restrictions on user comfort.
Vector contributes its electric charging expertise to various committees and has actively participated in the ISO 15118 20 of the International Organization for Standardization. Features based on this standard, such as bidirectional charging, are now available in the software library for vehicle communication vSECClib.CCS.
Vector has developed the first AUTOSAR-capable Ethernet switch powered by Marvell’s Brightlane solution. The software executed in the switch’s CPU follows the AUTOSAR methodology with respect to model definition, distribution and component development.
Vector offers a ready-to-use toolchain for the new diagnostic standard SAE J1979-2 (“OBDonUDS”). The new standard will be introduced in the USA from 2023 and will be mandatory from 2027. The SAE J1979 standard describes in detail how On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) data may be read from a vehicle using an external diagnostic device.
Vector now presents the VN5611 and N5612 hardware, both compact and handy interfaces for Automotive Ethernet applications. Users benefit from flexible configuration and usage options in the Ethernet environment. Advantages such as Ethernet Monitoring and individual access options to the network under test are characteristic for both devices.
Vector releases the new version 6 of DYNA4, the tool for virtual test driving. DYNA4 R6 expands the possibilities for testing ADAS functions through a variety of improvements in the environment sensor models and the visualization of scenarios. In addition, users benefit from new functions of the simulation standards ASAM OSI for sensor data communication as well as the road network ASAM OpenDRIVE.
