At the Böllinger Höfe, passion meets precision, innovation and sustainability: Series production of the fully electric-powered Audi e-tron GT is getting underway there.

With its investment planning for the next five years, AUDI AG is pushing ahead its transformation to a provider of networked and sustainable premium mobility: with a total amount of approximately € 35 billion, investments remain at a high level, especially for future vehicle projects, in spite of a difficult business environment.

Audi is using complex exhaust aftertreatment systems to meet increasingly lower emission limits. Besides the utilization of in-engine technology, the latest gasoline and diesel engines meet the strict standards especially due to powerful and sophisticated exhaust gas purification systems. Particulate filters complement catalytic exhaust aftertreatment on both TDI and TFSI engines.

AUDI AG intends to contribute its share to achieving the Paris climate goals.

With #neverstopquestioning as the motto, this year once again Audi invited international experts to a digital discussion on the future of mobility.

The Audi A3 Sportback has won the “Golden Steering Wheel 2020” in the “Compact Cars” category. In this prestigious competition, readers of the specialist magazine Auto Bild, its affiliated European titles and the Bild am Sonntag newspaper had cast their votes in the summer. From this pre-selection, an international expert jury chose the winners.

Audi is once again inviting international pioneers, thought leaders and experts to this year’s MQ! Innovation Summit to discuss the mobility of the future. Key topics include sustainability, electric mobility, smart cities and technology ethics. In addition to attending ten keynote speeches, the participants can also dive deeper into the topics in various workshops.

The e-tron route planner is installed on all of Audi’s fully electric e-tron models. As standard equipment and part of the Audi connect services, it offers customers elementary route planning, which can be done before starting a trip, either using the myAudi app or the in-car navigation system. Once on the road, drivers can rely on always traveling the fastest of all possible routes, supported by the system ideally planning the required charging stops – whenever the destination is located outside of the car’s range. Using new algorithms, the extended e-tron route planner is geared to more effectively taking the unique characteristics of electric driving into account. Daily data updates and individual routes enhance everyday usability.

Electric range of up to 59 kilometers (36.7 mi) in the NEDC (47 kilometers (29.2 mi) in the WLTP cycle), a sporty character, and great everyday usability: Audi is presenting the Q8 with plug-in hybrid drive.

Passion for detail, maximum precision, and top quality: The new Audi e-tron GT reflects all the passion with which Audi develops and builds cars. For the production of the electrically powered Gran Turismo at Audi Böllinger Höfe at the Neckarsulm site, the company uses customized new technologies – however, the finishing touches are applied by highly skilled hands. And since the dynamic work of art must also sound good, Audi has brought musical flair and technical competence to bear in composing a unique sound for the e-tron GT. It sounds powerful and progressive – just as an Audi should.
