The Dürr Group has received a strategically important order in the growth area of battery cells for electric cars. A system for coating electrodes for high-performance battery cells will be supplied to the German battery manufacturer Cellforce Group. A special process is used for the simultaneous coating of both electrode sides. Dürr is one of the few suppliers of this technology, which can be used to increase efficiency and quality.

Moving heavy parts or working in areas with difficult ergonomics can be a major challenge for employees on production lines. With its manipulators, Dürr Brazil has introduced a handling and assembly equipment that eliminates heavy and non-ergonomic work and contributes to a safe and efficient working environment sustainably.

Dürr has built a high-tech paint shop for Ford in Hermosillo, Mexico, in order to accommodate a new vehicle that Ford will be producing. The new replacement paint shop is located next to the existing stamping and assembly plant. It makes clever use of local climatic conditions, targets modern technology, the latest digital solutions, and high painting quality.

Lotus refurbishes the Hethel plant and entrusts Italian Dürr subsidiary CPM with the realization of an open and innovative production line for its renovated assembly. This involves the use of ProFleet AGVs designed for final assembly shops.

For its comprehensive DXQ software portfolio in the mega paint shop of SAIC Volkswagen in Anting, Dürr has been presented with the award as "Excellent Supplier of Intelligent Equipment Management Solutions for China's Automobile Industry". In the paint shop, state-of-the-art plant engineering, and software including artificial intelligence combine for intelligent production.

Identifying defect sources, determining the optimal maintenance schedule, improving manufacturing processes: until now, artificial intelligence only made this possible in a paint shop equipped with state-of-the-art robots. Now, however, Dürr is significantly expanding the scope of its AI applications with the enablement of analysis software from the DXQ product family for sealing. In addition, a unique interface solution makes it possible to incorporate robots from existing paint shops for the first time.

Dürr installs an automatic painting line for its customer Nordex, which is based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Nordex has been producing vehicles in Uruguay since 1962 for different OEMs. The company contracted Dürr for its new Peugeot SUV and Kia Bongo line to fulfil all demands in quality and precision.
