Leoni is taking the development of wiring systems for demanding use in commercial vehicles to a new level – and is thus already making a significant contribution today to the increasingly sustainable and networked mobility of tomorrow.

Sustainability as a driver of innovation: Leoni is accelerating the pace on the road to green cables and wiring systems and will reduce the carbon footprint of its products by half by 2030 – with 2023 as the base year.

LEONI EcoSense^® Nxt and LEONI EcoSense^® Nxt+ broaden the cable manufacturer’s product portfolio.

New name for the business unit of the Automotive Cable Solutions division: "Electrical Appliance Cables" becomes "Charging & Power Solutions".

As of now, researchers, engineers and production specialists at Leoni will be closely linked in creating the wiring system of the future – at the Innovation Industrialization Center (IIC) in the Franconian town of Kitzingen. With this think tank, the Company will be strengthening its position as an innovation partner to the automotive industry.

MAN Truck & Bus, Leoni, Knorr-Bremse and Bosch are joining forces for greater safety, flexibility and efficiency in logistics. Together with automated logistics provider Fernride and test tool manufacturer BTC Embedded Systems, they aim to have autonomously driving trucks on the highway for the first time by the middle of this decade in the ATLAS-L4 project.

Leoni consequently follows its strategic objectives and sells the Business Group Industrial Solutions, which belongs to the WCS division (Wire & Cable Solutions) and represents significant parts of its industrial business, to BizLink. This marks another important milestone on Leoni’s path towards the long-term stabilisation of the company.
