City of Genoa more sustainable with Siemens charging infrastructure and Rampini ebuses

Siemens Smart Infrastructure will provide the charging infrastructure for 10 Rampini E80 electric buses in Genoa, Italy, to be used by AMT Genova (AMT), the city's public transport operator. With this project, AMT continues its journey of electrifying the public transport system in Genoa, aiming to create an energy-efficient and sustainable model of urban mobility. The Siemens charging infrastructure is scheduled to be commissioned by the summer of 2021.

Siemens supports sustainable urban transport with eBus charging infrastructure in Nuremberg

Siemens Smart Infrastructure has received a contract from Verkehrs- Aktiengesellschaft Nürnberg (VAG) to equip its new “eBus port” with a medium- voltage connection and charging infrastructure. With 39 parking spaces, it will be one of the largest electric bus depots in Germany. Located on the VAG premises in the Nuremberg suburb of Schweinau, it will be supplied solely with green electricity. Construction has already started, and operations are scheduled to start in 2021.

Siemens acquires provider of virtual training for industrial companies

Siemens has acquired the Swedish service and software company Vizendo AB with headquarters in Gothenburg. Vizendo is a leading provider of virtual operator training for automotive manufacturing. Virtual training enables industrial companies to reduce their training times and launch new products faster and in higher quality. The acquisition took effect as per June 1, 2020.
