R&S SMM100A vector signal generator redefines midrange signal generation for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and much more

Rohde & Schwarz introduces the R&S SMM100A, the only vector signal generator with mmWave testing capabilities in its class. The instrument meets the rigorous expectations for generating digital signals for the most advanced wireless communication devices entering production, as well as for developing future products and technologies.

AVL and Rohde & Schwarz announce strategic Vehicle-in-the-Loop collaboration

Rohde & Schwarz and AVL have intensified their collaboration with the integration of a Rohde & Schwarz radar test system into the AVL DRIVINGCUBE, creating new possibilities for testing radar enabled ADAS features and validating autonomous driving functions on a Vehicle-in-the-Loop testbed. Complex driving scenarios can be generated and tested in a safe and reproducible environment.

Rohde & Schwarz and IHP first to characterize D-band frequencies in over-the-air test setup for 6G and automotive radar

Academia and key industry players have identified the D-Band, ranging from 110 GHz to 170 GHz, as a candidate frequency band for beyond 5G and 6G mobile communications as well as for future automotive radar applications. Rohde & Schwarz continues its pioneering sub-THz research efforts with focus in this frequency range, reaching new milestones. In collaboration with IHP, Rohde & Schwarz has performed the industry’s first full 2D/3D antenna characterization of transceiver modules operating in the D-Band.

New “Full Bench. High Value.” promotion by Rohde & Schwarz builds on successful complete solutions offer

With a typical engineer’s bench in mind, Rohde & Schwarz has created a new promotion, building on its successful campaign from last year. Under the motto “Full Bench. High Value.” customers can purchase for a limited time an even wider selection of fully equipped entry-level T&M instruments, pre-configured with all options at unrivaled package prices.

Rohde & Schwarz supports the UNH-IOL in Automotive Ethernet testing services for OPEN Alliance TC9 test specification

Test and measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz extends its support to the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) with an extension to their compliance test services. As a result, UNH-IOL customers can now achieve compliance for automotive Ethernet cables and connectors (link segment) based on the OPEN Alliance TC9 working group test specification supporting both unshielded (UTP) and shielded twisted pair cables and connectors (STP).

Rohde & Schwarz offers bandwidth upgrades for selected oscilloscopes at no extra charge

Bandwidth is the most important aspect of an oscilloscope. To support design engineers in current and future design challenges, Rohde & Schwarz is introducing an attractive promotion for selected oscilloscope models: when purchasing an R&S RTO2000 or R&S RTP, now customers can upgrade the bandwidth with no extra costs.

Rohde & Schwarz presents a new Q/V band RF upconverter for testing satellite payloads

To enable continually higher data rates for end users of satellite links, satellite operators are using higher frequencies, such as the Q/V band, where larger bandwidths are available. The new R&S SZV100A RF upconverter from Rohde & Schwarz now offers a solution for testing broadband transponders in the payloads of very high throughput satellites (VHTS). With its 2 GHz modulation bandwidth, the R&S SZV100A covers the entire frequency range from 36 GHz to 56 GHz.

Rohde & Schwarz and TSN Systems provide nanosecond-precision latency measurements for automotive Ethernet

With radar, lidar and camera sensors present in automobiles, time sensitivity on networks becomes extremely important, as vast amounts of sensor data need to be transferred and processed within a few milliseconds. Test and measurement expert Rohde & Schwarz and time-sensitive networks specialist, TSN Systems have successfully cooperated on precise timing measurements for in-vehicle networks using automotive Ethernet 100BASE-T1.

Rohde & Schwarz and TE Connectivity successfully demonstrate compliance with OPEN Alliance TC9 test specifications

Test and measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz and connectivity and sensor component manufacturer TE Connectivity cooperate on testing automotive Ethernet cables and connectors. The two companies have successfully tested a communication link, utilizing Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cables and TE’s MATEnet data connector system, for compliance with the One-Pair Ethernet (OPEN) Alliance Technical Committee (TC) group 9 test specification for 1000BASE-T1.

Testing automotive electronics: Rohde & Schwarz exhibits fast, robust and compact test solutions at EMV 2020

Today's vehicles contain more and more electronics with RF technology, radio components, radars and high speed data buses. This makes it difficult for automobile manufacturers to ensure that electronic emissions remain within specified limits and that vehicles are not susceptible to external interference sources. That's why, at EMV 2020 in Cologne (Germany), Rohde & Schwarz will present EMC test solutions specifically for users in the automotive industry: the fastest CISPR-25 certification, a robust and compact BCI test system, and R&S AdVISE version 5, which keeps a close eye even on vibrating display elements during EMS tests.
