MAN Showcases Efficient Commercial Vehicles at IAA 2026

MAN Truck & Bus will showcase its portfolio of commercial vehicles for freight transport and distribution logistics at IAA Transportation 2026. The exhibit will feature battery-electric and conventional trucks, vans, digital fleet services, charging infrastructure, and driver assistance systems designed to improve operational efficiency, vehicle availability, and road safety.

Electric and Conventional Vehicle Portfolio
At the exhibition, MAN will present its complete battery-electric truck range for the first time, covering gross vehicle weights from 12 to 50 tonnes. The lineup includes the eTGL, eTGM, eTGS, and eTGX models, which are designed for applications such as urban distribution, municipal operations, construction transport, and long-haul logistics.

According to MAN, the eTGX offers a driving range of up to 570 kilometers with a semi-trailer under typical long-haul operating conditions without intermediate charging. All models are built on a modular battery platform that supports multiple battery configurations to meet different transport requirements.

Alongside its electric vehicles, MAN will also introduce trucks equipped with the new D30 PowerLion powertrain. According to the manufacturer, the system can reduce fuel consumption by up to five percent compared with the previous generation, helping fleet operators lower operating costs for conventional vehicles.

Digital Technologies for Efficient Fleet Operations
MAN will also present the latest generation of its GPS-based EfficientCruise system with PredictiveDrive. By analyzing route profiles, traffic infrastructure, and speed regulations, the system automatically adjusts vehicle operation to reduce fuel and energy consumption.

According to MAN, the technology can deliver savings of up to 5.5 percent depending on vehicle type and operating conditions. In demanding hilly or mountainous terrain, fuel and energy savings can reach up to nine percent.

To improve vehicle availability, map and software updates are delivered wirelessly through over-the-air updates, eliminating the need for workshop visits solely for software upgrades.

Driver Assistance and Road Safety
Another key focus of the exhibition is driver assistance technology designed to improve road safety. MAN will showcase the latest generation of its Emergency Brake Assist (EBA Advanced), a driver monitoring system that detects distraction and fatigue, enhanced pedestrian and cyclist protection functions, blind spot monitoring systems, and an additional entry-level version of the OptiView digital mirror system.

These technologies are intended to assist drivers in complex traffic situations while helping reduce unplanned vehicle downtime caused by accidents.

Charging Infrastructure and Energy Management
In the field of electric mobility, MAN Transport Solutions will present charging infrastructure, intelligent charging, and energy management solutions designed to optimize charging times and reduce energy costs for electric commercial vehicle fleets.

The MAN Charge&Go charging network is being expanded with additional locations across Europe, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Portugal.

MAN will also present concepts for bidirectional charging as well as the Smart Charging Cube, which enables the deployment of high-power charging solutions at locations with limited grid capacity.

Van Portfolio
To mark the tenth anniversary of the MAN TGE, the company will introduce new MAN Individual equipment packages along with expanded digital services.

From September onward, the offering will include the Lifetime Connectivity feature, providing online services and map updates without additional subscription fees.

In addition, the new MAN TGE Connect app enables real-time communication between the driver and the vehicle, providing centralized access to operating information and vehicle data through a mobile application.
