Key Highlights at the 8th GWM Technology Festivals:
- Establishment of Coffee Intelligent Ecological Alliance: GWM officially established this new alliance to build a new ecological environment for the future of intelligent mobility and released its plan for Coffee Intelligent Crowdsourcing platform that will be launched in 2021. By 2022, the number of Coffee Intelligent partners will exceed 150, and by 2025, its partners will also cover other industry sectors, including health, tourism, medical, finance and sports.
- Intelligent by By-Wire Chassis: GWM globally premiered its first intelligent By-Wire Chassis, a technical platform for L4 autonomous driving and above. By integrating five core chassis systems—steering by wire, braking by wire, shift by wire, throttle by wire and suspension by wire—it provides the freedom of motion control in six directions: front, back, left, right, up and down of the vehicle. The result is excellent performance of ‘one brain that coordinates five systems to achieve six-directional control with freedom’.
- Official Upgrade and Release of GWM Coffee Intelligent 2.0: Based on development concept of ‘wisdom, intelligent alliance and intelligent driving’, the newly upgraded Coffee Intelligent 2.0 features 1 intelligent center + 1 powerful structure + 3 intelligent upgrades. The Intelligent Center is a new electronic and electrical architecture with four technical advantages: service-oriented, standardized, flexible and partnered. The Powerful Structure of an Intelligent By-Wire Chassis is a comprehensive innovation of chassis architecture and a carrier of high-level autonomous driving. The three Intelligent Upgrades are comprised of intelligent cockpit, intelligent driving and intelligent service, which reconstruct people-vehicle relationship and build a strong GWM intelligent network. Compared to previous generation architecture, GWM’s new electronic and electrical architecture makes vehicle control software highly centralized, introduces service-oriented architecture (SOA) design method into the software, standardizes and virtualizes software module and communication interface, and develops decoupling function and software and hardware platform. At the same time, it provides subscription upgrade function, so users can dynamically subscribe to upgrade vehicle service function according to their needs and preferences without waiting for software upgrade batch.
- Intelligent Cockpit: GWM takes the lead in intelligent cockpit platform development using Qualcomm 8155 chipset in favor of performance. Compared to the systems found in older vehicles in general, this new chipset provides 2.5 times higher CPU performance and 3.5 times higher GPU performance, which is considered the industry’s first rate. And when combined with exclusive, powerful artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator, this intelligent cockpit boasts smarter audio and visual processing performance to deliver more pleasurable driving experience along with greater driving stability and safety.
- Coffee Intelligent Automatic Driving Technology: This is GWM’s first autonomous driving solution for passenger cars. Packed with outstanding design and function, it has already entered high volume production in China. The technology features ICU 3.0, one of the world’s most energy efficient computing platform for autonomous driving. It is compatible with L3, L4, L5 and other classifications of autonomous driving.
- Hydrogen Technology: The technologies showcased include hydrogen fuel cell system, on-board hydrogen storage and other core components. By 2021, GWM will launch the world’s first C-segment hydrogen fuel cell SUV. The company eyes at securing a top-three share of the global market for hydrogen-powered vehicles by year 2025.
As the ‘Global Mobility Technology Company’, GWM is firmly committed to delivering new products, technologies and innovations to consumers worldwide, including Thais, to ensure global accessibility to products and services that are smarter, safer and better for the environment.
