From harbour buses powered by green electricity to fast connections for cyclists and eBuses: Public transport in Copenhagen is already more environmentally friendly than in many other major cities. Now VIKINGBUS Danmark A/S has ordered 45 MAN Lion's City 12 E buses, which will be on the road in Denmark's capital city from next year - also particularly sustainable.

MAN Truck & Bus sees the greatest potential for climate-friendly drives in battery electric drives. And although the market for electrically driven city buses and, in future, also trucks is only just developing in Europe, the Munich-based commercial vehicle manufacturer is already working on the post-usage strategy for its batteries.

MAN Truck & Bus has presented its new all-electric chassis for the world market to the public: The Lion's Chassis E was on show live for the first time at the Australasia Bus & Coach Expo trade fair in Sydney, Australia - and delighted operators, entrepreneurs and experts.

The decarbonisation of freight transport, the digitalisation of logistics and the increasing shortage of truck drivers pose fundamental challenges for transport companies. MAN Truck & Bus provides answers to these questions at the IAA Transportation 2022 and is shaping the underlying transformation: for conventional products with even lower fuel consumption, even more attractive workplaces and increased comfort for the driver as well as even more innovative digital services.

For the first time, AUTO BILD called on its readers to vote in six categories for the most sustainable ideas for clean mobility of the future. Over 1,000 users voted the MAN eTGM the winner in the "Last mile" category of the first "Green Track Award" on autobild.de.

For around 48 months, MAN Truck & Bus worked with 14 partners from the automotive and supplier industries, software development, and science to develop and test automated driving functions for the safe, efficient, and comfortable urban traffic of the future as part of the @CITY ("Automated Cars and Intelligent Traffic in the City") initiative.

The Top of the Range Lion S models of TGX and TGE from MAN Truck & Bus also impressed the 48-member international jury of experts for the Red Dot Design Award 2022: with the exclusive special features ex works that are popular with drivers, the long-haul truck and the van for light delivery and distribution traffic prevailed in the demanding competition of product submissions from around 60 countries in the "Commercial Vehicles" category.

MAN Truck & Bus will in future be offering an eBus chassis for the global market. This is based on proven technologies from the Lion's City E, which is already operating successfully in many European countries and for which a total of over 1,000 orders have been received to date.

Hardly on the market, the new MAN Lion's Intercity LE has already won its first awards. The iF International Forum Design jury presented it with the coveted iF Design Award in the "Product/Automobiles/Vehicles" category. The low-entry bus scored points with its special functionality combined with smart design.
