Danfoss DM430 displays granted e-Mark certification, enabling use in on-road vehicles
Danfoss Power Solutions, a leading global supplier of mobile and industrial hydraulics as well as electric powertrain systems, has received e-Mark certification for its DM430 series of displays.
DM430 displays have long been used in off-highway machinery such as construction, agriculture, and material handling equipment. With the e-Mark certification, manufacturers can now more easily use the DM430 display and achieve certification for vehicles that require road authorization in Europe. The E1 certificate, granted by Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, enables use of the displays in on-road vehicles. The display is already slated for use in a series of refuse trucks designed for the European market.
“The DM430 has been a top pick for our off-highway OEM and distributor customers. The display is helping modernize mobile machines through its rugged design, wide range of features, and superior screen quality,” said Herman Oberoi, senior portfolio manager, Danfoss Power Solutions. “We are pleased to now offer these benefits to on-road vehicle manufacturers and are excited to see the first implementation on Europe’s roadways very soon.”
Danfoss DM430 series displays feature a modern design with a 4.3-inch color display, backlit buttons, and LED indicators. The screen offers wide viewing angles and is optimized for use in all lighting conditions, providing outstanding sunlight viewability and automatic brightness/theme adjustment for daytime and nighttime use. Rugged IP66 and IP67 ratings enable the display to be used in harsh operating environments. DM430 displays are PLUS+1® compliant for ease of setup.
