Coming to Paris… hydrogen refill stations

HYPE, the world's first cab fleet made up entirely of hydrogen-powered electric vehicles, joined forces with other shareholders, to create HysetCo to accelerate the development of the recharging infrastructure required for hydrogen mobility in the Paris region. HysetCo approached France Ingénierie Process (FIP), part of the Actemium network, to be involved in this up-and-coming project.


Two wallbox types and their advantages

Cable or no cable? That is the question. Aside from the inner qualities of a wallbox – which include performance and safety features as well as attributes such as user identification, consumption gauge, and communication with existing systems – a purely external distinction can be made between two types: wallboxes with a fixed cable and wallboxes with a charging socket. These are the advantages of both models.

Pre-drivers MLX81340 and MLX81344 enable 500W LIN-based mechatronic module miniaturization

Melexis revealed new LIN BLDC-motor pre-drivers that combine small size with high performance and power capability for automotive mechatronic applications. The MLX81340 (32KB Flash) and MLX81344 (64KB Flash) integrate three channels of high-side and low-side drivers. They control external NFETs with up to 60nC capacitance to handle applications up to 500W.

Development based on global know-how with local R&D in Shanghai and Chongqing, where Continental has recently opened its Software & System Development Center. The hard- and software solution paves the way to cross-domain high-performance computer by integrating functions from different vehicle domains.
